So, if you are like me and get your news from the Yahoo home page, you saw the “flash mob” on Oprah.
According to wiki, a flash mob (or flashmob)[1] is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse. The term flash mob is generally applied only to gatherings organized via telecommunications, social media, or viral emails.[2][3][4][5][6][7] The term is generally not applied to events organized bypublic relations firms or as publicity stunts.
I’m soooooooo into it. I’m into it starting today, but I really need more flash mobs. The world needs more flash mobs. They make me super-happy. And the possibilities are endless…. where is a flash mob NOT appropriate? For my Emerald Coast folks, someone please tell me that Shoreline is organizing a flash mob as we speak. If I were shopping at the Destin Commons and suddenly a bunch of, what looked like shoppers, started dancing then walked into church…. I would not only follow you into church, I’d follow you to the ends of the earth. Are you kidding me?!
Paige, we’re on this.
I’ll be in your flash mob. That is so cool Jess!
LOL, Thanks Tracey!
I think it’s so appealing because we like the idea of being connected and all having something in common. There’s just something about being in one accord and making something happen that is really cool.
Imagine being where this is going on, I would follow
with laughter and tears!
I think you’re on to something. Let me see what I can do about this.
New lifegroup: flashmobbers! I bet Angela could head it up.
